| This paper presents a new method to identify the coefficient of merit (C. O. M. ) ofmachine tool structure by cutting chatter tests. Experiments show that the present newmethod has sufficient accuracy, reliability. There is good correlativity between the coefficient of merit(COM) identified by the present method and the minimum limiting width of Cut (blim ). |
