To analyze the relationship between respiratory viruses and inflammatory factors in the pathogenesis of febrile seizures (FS). Methods130 children with febrile seizures were selected as the subjects, at the same time, 51 children with respiratory tract infections with fever but no convulsions were selected as the control group. Immunofluorescence method was used to detect the virus antigen in the nasopharyngeal exfoliated cells of the subjects. Flow cytometry was used to detect the serum levels of interleukin-6(IL-6), interleukin-10(IL-10 )and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α). ResultsThe infection rate of influenza A virus in FS group was significantly higher than that in control group, the levels of serum IL-6, IL-10 and TNF-α were significantly higher in the FS group than those in the control group (P<0.05). The levels of serum IL-6 in complex febrile seizures group was significantly higher than that in simple febrile seizures group (P<0.05). The expression levels of IL-6 and IL-10 in children infected with influenza A virus were significantly higher than those in children infected with other viruses. ConclusionsIn children with respiratory virus-mediated FS, the increase of serum inflammatory factors is one of the factors that cause the onset of FS. The increase of IL-6 may promote the onset of FS, and the increase of IL-10 is related to the body's protective immunity. |
