| 在１４２例白内障手术的前瞻性、随机化、双盲法研究中，７１例接受球后麻醉，７１例接受眼周麻醉，每例病人麻醉药注射容量均为５ｍｌ。手术医生通过对麻醉及运动消失的估计发现，这两种方法无明显不同，两组的麻醉效果相似。接受球后注射的病人中有１８例发生严重并发症，眼周麻醉组无严重并发症，但眼周组中球结膜水肿的发生率明显增高。 |

| Complications of retrobulbar anesthesia are rare but significant. Periocular anesthesia has been advocated as an alternative to retrobulbar injections. In a prospective, randomized, masked study of 142 consecutive catarct extractions, 71patients received retrobulbar injections and 71 patients received periocular injections. In every case,the volume of the injection was 5ml. No significant difference in surgeon's assessment of akinesia and anesthesia was found. The efficacy of periocular anesthesia appears to be comparable to that of retrobulbar anesthesia. There were eighteen significant complications with retrobulbar anesthesia and none with periocular anesthesia. A significant increase in chemosis was found with periocular injections. |
