In this paper, radioimmunoassay was applied to study the changes in level of the two thyroid hormones(T_4 and T_3)in male rats under the action of magnetic field, so as to survey its biological effect on thyroid gland function. The result showed that under the action of rotating magnetic field(the strength of the surface static magnetic field being 2000 GS), these two hormones were increased in serum of male rats. The change of T_4 level was not remarkable from begining to end (P>0.05). But then, T_3 was going up. It has statistical meaning (P<0.01). It was suggested that the elevation of serum T_3 concentation was due to the enhanced deiodination process of T_4 to T_3 under the influence of magnetic field.
