| Mao Zedong formed a profound understanding of the needs of farmers in his long-term joint revolution and construction with farmers. He described and evaluated various aspects of farmers' lives, land, power, and development needs in different occasions, and responded with practical actions, including but not limited to:caring for the people's lives and providing them with practical material welfare; solving land issues and protecting farmers' land rights and interests; defeating the local tyrants and evil gentry, and returning power to the farmers; carrying out education for farmers and improving their cultural level.
