| The Interpreter of Maladies is Joppa Rashili's first collection of novels. This paper attempts to make a comparison between the two discourses of mainstream medicine and complementary medicine from the perspective of social constructionism, and tries to reveal that the rational civilization of the West is a disaster to the native culture of India. Through the creation of the image of market medicine represented by Mr. Keempasi in the market of complementary medicine in India, singing high praise for the theme of life and love in Indian culture. |
