| The global epidemic of COVID-19 has aroused great concern in the academic circles about public health issues. In fact, a hundred years ago, Marx launched in-depth criticism on capitalist public health issues. The revelation of capitalist public health problems is the foothold of Marx's public health criticism. He deeply exposed the poor living environment, poor diet and rampant cholera epidemic in capitalist society; He further analyzed that the fundamental cause of public health problems in capitalist society lies in capital logic, which is reflected in the enslavement of capital to workers, the limitations of capitalist public health governance and the alienation of the relationship between man and nature under the guidance of capital; Marx believed that the ultimate solution to the capitalist public health problem lies in the overthrow of the capitalist system by means of revolution, guided by the goal of human liberation and relying on the main force of the proletariat.
