| In the second half of the 19th century, with the development of industrialization and urbanization, the housing problem of the German working class gradually became prominent, and this social problem threatened the interests of the bourgeoisie to some extent. On the premise of maintaining the capitalist system, the representative of the bourgeoisie, Sax put forward a series of propositions on the causes of housing problems and the solution of housing problems . In response to Sax's housing concept, Engels wrote a critical article named “How the Bourgeoisie Solve the Housing Problem”. The article reveals the essence of Sax's housing concept is to maintain the rule of the bourgeoisie, and points out that the root causes of the housing problem is the capitalist mode of production, the fundamental way to solve the housing problem is to eliminate the capitalist mode of production. |
