      高管团队的海外背景一直被认为会影响企业的技术创新。文章利用2013—2017年中国A股主板上市公司为样本,检验了海外来源地与企业所在地的区域差异对高管团队海外背景的技术创新效应的影响,包括研发投入、研发产出及研发效率。结果显示,尽管高管团队海外背景整体上激发了更高的创新投入和产出,但也导致了一定的创新效率损失。高管团队海外背景来源地与企业所在地差异均会影响高管团队海外背景在创新投入、产出及效率方面的表现。
English Summary:
      It is always believed that overseas background of top management team (TMT) affects firm technology innovation. Employing the companies samples listed on China's A-share main board from 2013 to 2017, this paper examines the moderating effects of regional differences including overseas origin and firm location between overseas background of TMT and firm's R&D input, output and efficiency. The results show that although the TMT overseas background help to promote firm's innovation input and output, as in a whole, it also leads to a certain loss of innovation efficiency. Both the origin of TMT's overseas background and firm location moderate the effects of the TMT's overseas background on firm innovation input, output and efficiency.
