| As an indispensable and fundamental means to shape characters, body is not only a main subject of narration, but also an important carrier of social consciousness and power discourse in Lu Xun's novels. Body plays a significant role in understanding Lu Xun's literary world. A wide variety of narrative strategies such as mimicry, materialization and ugliness are applied to describe the body of characters, which deeply highlights the spirits of personalities, social thoughts and cultural connotations implied in the body discourse. |
