| Based on the original context of Chinese detective novels, from the principle of The Newspaper Current Affairs and the traditional aesthetic habit, this paper studies the strategy of Zhang Kunde's translation Sherlock Holmes detective stories. It explains the reason why western detective novels have gained a foothold in Chinese cultural field. The author thinks that the original translation of the Sherlock Holmes stories in The Newspaper Current Affairs has laid a cognitive foundation and provided the ideological preparation for the occurrence of Chinese modern detective novels. |
