| With Adaptation Theory as its theoretical basis,this research makes an attempt to observe and analyze English translation of names of Hunan Cuisine based on a self-compiled corpus. The study finds that the translator should skillfully implement linguistic adaptation and extra-linguistic adaptation in English translation of names of Hunan Cuisine. The thesis concludes that Adaptation Theory is applicable to English translation of names of Hunan Cuisine. |
