| Euphemism is enormously used in Ci by Wang Chuanshan with representative forms like allusion,euphemistic rhetoric,pun,periphrasis rhetoric,rhetorical irony,Qixing as well as nontypical forms such as metaphor,metonymy,quotation.There are two reasons for the enormous use of euphemism,namely cultural inheritance and political factors.The restrained style of Wang Fuzhi's Ci is closely connected with its rhetoric of euphemism. |
