| 在20世纪20年代的联省自治运动中，湖南扮演了一个急先锋的角色，且是唯一一个实践了省宪自治的省份，故而备受关注。更重要的是，众多湖南中小知识分子的热情参与，使得湖南自治脱离了地方军阀及官僚所预设的官绅包办自治的道路，社会大众的民权意识得到了较大扩张。长沙《大公报》在湖南自治运动期间的大量报道，从舆论角度呈现了当时湖南中小知识分子的态度，展示了在该运动推动下，地方读书人与普通民众的民权意识大为扩张的时代情境，尤其是在官治与民治、省宪与人权等多种政治诉求的交织博弈中，近代中国历史曲折发展的复杂面貌。 |
| English Summary: |
| Hunan played as a pioneer in the joint provincial autonomous campaign in 1920s. It attracted many attentions because it was the only province which put the dream——self-government by province itself——into practice. Many center intellectuals warm participation lead this campaign away from the autocratic way predetermined by local officials and gentries, to the democratic way, which allowed the awareness of civil right to obtain much space of expansion. |
