| English Summary: |
| As a philosophical basis of cognitive linguistics, experiential philosophy holds that human being’s conceptualization is determined by the embodiment of man’s body and mind and by his interaction with the world. The article, based on the collection and synthesis of spatial metaphors from English and Chinese, tentatively probes into the cognitive and distributive patterns between the two languages. As a result, we can dig out the experiential philosophical fundamental as well as their underlying profound cognitive motivations. |
