| 翻译是两种语言沟通的桥梁，也是两种语言间的跨文化交际。从某种意义上来讲，语言翻译也就是文化的翻译。大学校训是大学精神和文化的浓缩，也是学校办学理念的体现，具有言简意赅、易于朗诵且内涵丰富等特点。文章着重以文化翻译论为视角，从源语特征和文化蕴含上解读我国大学校训的英译，探讨可循的校训汉英翻译原则与策略，以期达到中西文化有效交流的目的。 |
| English Summary: |
| Translation is the bridge of communication between two languages as well as the carrier of bicultural exchange. To some extent, language translation is also cultural translation. University motto is the concentration of university spirit and culture as well as the reflection of school creation idea, which has such features as being concise and readable. Under the perspective of Cultural Translation Theory, this paper elaborates our national university mottos from the aspects of original language features and cultural implication for the purpose of probing into organized translation principles of national university mottos so as to achieve effective cultural communication. |
