| This paper describes the history and current status of department librarian and the subject librarian system and analyzes the necessity of implementing subject librarian system in colleges and universities of our country. According to the job duties of department librarian and subject librarian and the advanced concepts and current requirement of library information service, this paper thinks that the conversion from department librarian to subject librarian is inevitable in our country and proposes the content of key construction in the process of change. |
