| Person deixis acts as the elementary part in terms of research on Pragmatics and Sociolinguistics. In the famous novel Wuthering Heights, there are plenty of person deixis which manifest important stylistic features and pragmatic functions. The transfer of person deixis, for instance, indicates the modificaton of pramatic distance, which plays an important role in exposing interpersonal relationship and the emotional and attitudinal changes among characters as well as in developing the plots. |
