| 文学研究对宋孝宗缺乏关注，实际上他对宋代文学有着重大影响。他起用主战派发动北伐而他的诗歌以抒发昂扬的斗志为特色。他提倡读苏轼作品，使读书的范围突破了宋太祖强调的经史两部。他崇尚道学，召张栻与朱熹侍经筵讲习儒家经典，使经筵讲义走向兴盛。孝宗朝的戏剧和话本小说已经相当兴盛，而他对这些新兴的市民艺术不予关注。 |
| English Summary: |
| It is always lack of literature study about emperor Xiaozong，who actually had a great influence on literature of Song Dynasty. He appointed battle faction to fight northern and his poems expressed a high-spirited fight will as a characteristic. He advocated reading Sushi works which made a great breakthrough from Confucian classics and historical works that emperor Taizu had stressed. He upheld Confucianism and asked Zhuxi and Zhangshi to explain Confucian classics as his teachers，so Confucian classics flourished .Drama and novel had been prosperous in his day, but he ignored the newly developing city resident art. |
