| Although since the“First Liberation”, the African American is still marginalized and dangerous to be devoured by the white mainstream. From collective perspective, this paper gives detailed analysis of Toni Morrison’s notable work Song of Solomon, and explores the African American’s self-identity construction, pointing out that the regression of memory in Milkman, and his coming back to the African American’s spiritual world demonstrate the establishment of their self-identity. |
