| From the perspective of ecocritical criticism, this paper tries to explore in Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein the ecocritical thoughts that the rapid development of science and technology leads to unbalance of nature ecology and even the unbalance of social and spiritual ecology，distorts the normal human-to-human relationship and finally causes spiritual alienation. It shows that Mary is concerned about the ecological unbalance and appeals for ecological balance with nature, society and spirits as the whole. |
