| This paper aims in LF at explaining the distribution and landing site of focus particles which Bayer referred to “only, even and also” in English and “sogar and nur” in German respectively. It also argues that directionality of raising focus particles should obey the rule of “Condition of Global Harmony” by observing English and German particles. LF-movement may be involved in DP’s internal constituents only when ［Spec, DP］ possibly may be used as a target for the movement of focus particles. |
