| English Summary: |
| In Confucianism, the value of Mean is not only the Highest virtue, but also the ontology and the methodology. As the methodology, it gives the measure to dynamically balance the contradictions among things. Meanwhile, Harmony means the coordination of different factors within a unity, and bears the relation to Mean which is also that of “Object” and “Application”, and of cause and effect. The two virtues are considered as the soul of Chinese traditional culture and the resolvent for problems in modern society by many world famous scholars, and have benefitted a lot the countries which belong to Confucian cultural circle. |
