| Translators are both the readers of the original works and the writers of the translated versions. They will choose some creative strategies for the better understanding of the readers in target languages. This essay takes two translated versions (two different versions by Yang Xianyi and Hawks respectively) of the chapter titles in Hongloumeng as its object, and discusses translators’ creative treason from the perspective of Hermeneutics. |
