| In terms of person deixis, scholars at home and abroad have made research on such aspects as the pragmatic meanings of the first person deixis and the second person deixis, while few attention has been given to the pragmatic meanings of the third person deixis. This paper tries to make an analysis of the pragmatic meanings of the third person deixis and excavate its pragmatic meanings in illocutionary act and cultural background. |
