| Appraisal theory, as the breakthrough of Functional Linguistics’ study to interpersonal meaning, has been focusing on the linguistic resources which manifest the discourse/speakers’ position, viewpoint or attitude. This paper, by analyzing US leaders’ speeches in Chinese universities with the help of CorpusTool, aims at finding the distribution feature of Engagement resources in Sino-Us leaders’ speeches in universities. |
