| 文章以翻译实践和翻译理论研究与学科建设为内容，从翻译界内部和外部两个方面，盘点并简要分析了中国翻译领域面临的种种尴尬。文章认为这种种尴尬直接影响着翻译的社会地位，不扭转这种尴尬局面而谈翻译地位的提高，那是不可能的。而翻译社会地位提高的关键又在翻译界内部。 |

| On the basis of translation practice, theoretical study and disciplinary construction, this paper lists the embarrassments facing translation in China from both outside and inside of translation world, and gives a brief analysis of why the embarrassments come into being. It is held that these embarrassments lead directly to the low status quo of translation in China, it’s impossible to improve the present status quo without change of the embarrassing situation, and the key to the improvement lies in the inside of the translation world. |
