| This paper describes the deixis and social deixis.The social deixis in A Dream of Red Mansions can particularly express the characteristics of our Chinese nationality's language and culture.We try to classificate social deixis in A Dream of Red Mansions and explore the English translation of social deixis from the perspective of the theory of adaptation by analyzing many translations in its two English versions. |
