| The crucial syntactic difference between English and Chinese is that between the hierarchical and linear structures.In the light of this difference,by analyzing some versions from two different translated works of David Copper field,this paper attempts to probe into bottom of translationese,an error even an experienced translator may fall a victim to.This paper concludes by pointing out that breaking up the original structure and reorganizing the translation in Chinese run-on sentence patterns is the most crucial step to ensuring the readability of translation versions. |
