| 就文化翻译而言,涉及文化个性很强的文化信息翻译时,译者一般应遵循“内容先于形式”的原则。本文运用此原则来分析《红楼梦》中书名的英译,初步得出以下结论:遵循了“内容先于形式”原则的译文一般都能做到“达意”;反之,译文则未能剥开语言外壳,显露内核。 |

| So far as cultural information translation,translators would follow the priciple of "contents precede form".Applying this principle to analysizing English versions of book titles in A Dream of Red Mansions,the present authors tend to conclde that those versions following this priciple could perfectly convey cultural implication of the source language,while those which don't follow this principle fail to do so. |
