| Thomas Hardy was regarded as Shakespears in English novelists by the critic.He was skillful at appreciating the life with tragic sight,curving the violent cinflict between two kinds of civilization and reality tribulation of the characters.He described the tragedy of a poor pretty girl Tess with epic words.The novel gave us an aesthetic experience of grandeur and loftiness.It also included the deep rationalism of the author and the social tragedy of logical conflict of human history. |
