| Coherence,a basic aspect of discourse analysis,attracts much attention from people,while linguists haven't come to a unanimous viewpoint on the term.Based on the research findings of many scholars,the paper attempts to explain what coherence is and what field it belongs to,and illustrates the close relation between coherence and pragmatics.The paper also probes into the pragmatic techniques on how to catch the discourse meaning. |
