| Poetry,especially classic poetry,is an aesthetic language characteristic of its form.This thesis means to discuss the feasibility of "formal equivalence" as a standard of the translation of the ancient Chinese poetry through the comparison and analysis of six translations of Stream and Snow.It holds that the goal of "formal equivalence" can be reached,but not through mechanical word-for-word transplantation of the superficial structure of the original poem. |
