| The heroine Chen-yun in the Six Chapters of Floating Life is the "new female" character in the Chinese ancient literature because of the luxuriant and distinctiveness that she implied.The image of Chen-yun is based on the human literature environment which gifted female scholars come forth in large numbers in south China;the flourishing feminism and natural disposition and intelligence during Qian and Jia period of Qing Dynasty.The literary implication through Chen-yun is the sprout and makes the feudal female's self-consciousness widely known. |
